Sponsorship Opportunities

The Student Leadership Center (SLC) fosters leadership through a variety of co-curricular programs, services and activities. The SLC seeks to improve efficiency within the numerous engineering-affiliated student organizations, provides assistance with organizational management and inspires students to practice teamwork and social responsibility. Leadership skills are the critical communication and interpersonal navigation tools that industry demands from today’s engineer. We believe that every student has the potential to be a leader and that leadership is a process, rather than a position. Your company can play a role in helping the SLC offer a variety of experiences for students to learn and practice leadership before entering the workforce.

The SLC offers the following sponsorship opportunities:

One Time Contribution of $500:

• Sponsors one general leadership or organizational development workshop.

Annual Contribution of $1500:

• Sponsors one UW student to attend a national session of The Leadershape Institute in Allerton, IL.

Annual Contribution of $2500:

• Sponsors a leadership development or personality assessment workshop once per semester, including required materials each semester (that is, True Colors, Clifton Strengths Finder, etc.).

Annual Contribution of $5000:

• Sponsors a campus session of CATALYST, a one-day program offered through The Leadershape Institute, for up to 60 students.

One Time Contribution of $10,000:

• Sponsors the creation of a lounge area for students who utilize the SLC (includes acquisition of new furniture).

Annual or One Time Contribution of $50,000:

• Sponsors a campus session of The Leadershape Institute, for up to 60 students.

Discretionary gifts are always welcome, as are in-kind donations. To help support programming in the SLC, you may make a gift to the Engineering Student Opportunities Fund through the University of Wisconsin Foundation, the official fund raising and gift receiving organization for UW-Madison.
