Storage Space Policy
for Student Organizations

Eligibility Requirements

  1. Must be eligible for office space in ECB according to the office space policy.

  2. Must not hold storage elsewhere on campus.

  3. Must submit the office space application, even if not requesting office space.

  4. Must demonstrate need to use the organization community storage space.

Use of Space Once Granted

  1. No food, dishes, or supplies for food preparation can be stored in the closet.

  2. No materials prohibited from purchase by the Procard may be stored.

  3. No objects relating to alcohol or the consumption of alcohol can be stored in the closet.

  4. Items stored in the closet should be used at least once a year.

  5. The room and shelving are property of the CoE and SLC. They may not be modified by any means.

  6. All items must be located in the space designated for the organization.

  7. No items may be stored on the floor.

How Space is Allocated

  1. Each eligible organization that has completed the office space application shall receive one shelf in the room.

  2. If more organizations qualify than there are shelves, space will be given out to the organizations with the greatest demonstrated need first.

  3. If there is extra space, the organizations who qualified for space will get a chance for more space based on need.

  4. The storage room will remain locked at all times, with a key available for checkout from the SLC.
